There are even fashion shows to celebrate the importance of lingerie to a woman, the most famous being Victoria's Secret. But you don't have to be a supermodel to feel sexy!! You just need to get the right lingerie for the right occasion and you will feel like one of the Victoria Secret's angels. It is important to keep in mind the purpose of shopping for lingerie, and here are some things you should consider when shopping...

If your wardrobe is getting old and you just need some new lingerie to top it up, then try to get simple and comfortable ones that you would wear on a daily basis. Black, white and beige coloured lingerie may seem a little boring, but those are the safest colours to get if you want to match most of your clothing. Be sure to have at least one strapless bra in your closet, it always comes it handy when you want to wear slightly more revealing tops and dresses for dinners and special occasions. If you haven't bought a bra in a while, do ask the sales person to help you measure your bust for the right size.

If you are slightly more adventurous, like some of my female friends, they would get bright coloured lingerie that matches the colour of their wardrobes. For Asian countries especially, it is quite common to wear sleeveless tops, and you could go creative in matching the bra strap colours to the colour of your top's strap.

Lingerie can also come in handy to add some spice to the bedroom fun! It's a real turn off if your men un-addresses you and you're wearing an badly fitted bra with granny panties! For those of you who are married, sexy lingerie will turn on some sparks for you and your husband again. It can make you feel sexy and sensual while giving your partner a visual treat. Lacy lingerie have that special power of femininity and sexiness at the same time.
