Japanese Half Bun Tutorial by Miyake

Living with a hairstylist at home, I can imagine how tedious and time consuming it can get to simply achieve the supposed "right" hairdo to step out of the house (and we're not talking about going to town where the crowd pours in).

Seems easy doesn't it? And it took less than 3 minutes!

Now here's one catch, and it's tested and proven (by me that is). First, to pull this off, you need to have the right amount of hair to begin with, and it cannot be the super fine kind - you cannot imagine the amount of breakage happens when you pull the hair upwards and comb it downwards. Not forgetting, it's a pest to comb it straight again, after.
